Advanced Diary 2.1 - Nice Virtual Diary for Keeping Your Memories, Private Thoughts and Interesting Ideas in Digital Form!

CSoftLab has announced Advanced Diary 2.1, new diary software for putting your private thoughts into a digital form and storing them securely in a password protected database.

The program is ideal for anyone who wants to write down their private thoughts or keep a journal or a log of daily events and interesting ideas. It's especially great for travelers because it can be installed on a USB Flash drive and accessed on any computer wherever you are in order to add a new record or edit an old one. The application has a welcoming interface and you can quickly start your first diary using rich text, images, sounds and attachments.

"The specialty of our Advanced Diary, along with its nice interface and ease of use, lies in the ability to keep several diaries in one file," says Vitaliy Sokolik, CSoftLab's CEO. "It means users can group information not only by date like in other programs, but by topic."

One of the strong points of Advanced Diary is its built-in word processor letting you format texts in much the same way as you would in Microsoft Word or any other word editor. You can make your text bold or italicized, change font and size, add images, tables, hyperlinks to internet or local files or any record in the database.

But Advanced Diary is not all about text. It's a sound diary too. Instead of typing, you can speak to the microphone and Advanced Diary will record your voice and attach it to a diary.

Browsing through the diaries and entries couldn't be simpler. If you want to find some piece of information, you can choose between one of the modes: Calendar and Document Tree. In Calendar, you see the calendar, and if it has a day shown in bold type, you can click on it and see the record(s) created on this day. In Document Tree, you see the file tree where records are categorized by topic (or title). Switching between the modes is a matter of one click. If the records are too many and it's difficult to find the one you need, the diary search is at your service. Simply enter a keyword and the program will respond with all matching records.

Other important functions in Advanced Diary include spellchecking, printing, password protection, backup/restore, import/export options. To let you edit or use entries in external applications, the program allows exporting records to RTF, TXT or HTML.

Pricing and Availability
Advanced Diary 2.1 runs under Microsoft Windows 98/Me/NT/2000/XP/Vista and costs 29,95 (USD) for a single-user license. Additional information is available from www.csoftlab.com.
